회색과 관련된 8가지 영어 표현 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.

회색 하면 어떤 느낌이 먼저 떠오르시나요? 패션에 있어서는 제가 굉장히 좋아하는 색이긴 합니다만, 회색이라는 이미지 자체는 공장? 잿빛 하늘? 어딘가 좀 뿌옇고 탁한 느낌이 드는데요.

영어에서 회색은 어떤 느낌으로 많이 사용되는지 살펴보도록 하겠습니다.

2. Gray matter 두뇌, 지능, 지성, 경력 많은 나이 있는 임원 
: Refers to the brain or intelligence.

*  회백질(Grey matter)은 뇌에서 사고력과 지능을 담당하는 부분입니다. 

 

3. Gray hair 백발, 흰머리 
: A sign of aging or experience.

4. Cast a gray cloud over ~위로 먹구름을 드리우다, 어두운 그늘을 드리우다 
: To spoil or dampen the mood or atmosphere.

5. Gray market 회색 시장, 준 암거래 시장 (암시장(black market)과 보통시장(normal market)의 중간 시장)
: The trade of goods through unauthorized channels, often involving illegal or unofficial transactions.

6. Gray power 노인 파워 
: Refers to the influence or power of older individuals or the elderly.

8. Gray rock technique 돌멩이 되기 전략
